History and Accomplishments
Natural Sciences Council was founded in 1972 to serve as a liaison between the students and the faculty in the College of Natural Sciences (CNS). We help direct feedback of programs in the college and work to resolve the problems students face in their daily academic and social communities. Through our events and programs, we connect students to the resources they need to succeed here and beyond, including campus entities, students of similar interests, faculty members, and organizations around UT and Austin. We constantly seek feedback from CNS students regarding functions and programs in the college and focus on how we can improve in order to enhance the CNS student experience.
We were also voted Best Academic/Departmental Organization by the UT Leadership Board in 2004, 2006, 2013, and 2016.
